The Journey

In one of the last true wilderness regions of Europe, mountains meet dramatic coastlines to produce incredible landscapes.  This unique combination offers you a sensational off road bike adventure.

Thanks to Chris, our local expert, we built a route with the perfect mix between double track through gorgeous estates, challenging singletracks into the wild and some beautiful asphalt stretches.

One of the highlights is wildcamping in a Glen that will touch you.

To reach these remote places in a pristine environment we have to accomplish 2 physically demanding hike a bike sections. The rewards of this intense efforts are breathtaking.

We make sure you can experience this without the challenging logistics and without a fully loaded bike.

The beauty of the Scottish Highlands proudly presented by DirtyDropbars.

Additional info

  • Be prepared for rain, wind or sunny days

Although Scottish weather is more bracing than balmy, the unique blend of rainfall, mist, sunshine and wind has shaped the Scottish landscape and is responsible for its stunning beauty.

This includes Scotlands' incredible greenery, the heather-covered slopes and glens, and the bluebells that carpet the forests. Not to forget the rugged and craggy coastlines, the gorgeous colors of Autumn leaves, the crystal-clear turquoise waters of the far northern islands, and the spine-tingling atmosphere and majestic beauty of the Highland Mountain Ranges goes here.

  • Due to the challenging terrain, we offer this trip with the appropriate gravel bike included.

The Exploro Ultra is 3T’s most extreme bike, with 55-61mm wide tires and an mountainbike gearing setup.

This bike is designed to go fast on the worst possible terrain with the most comfort. Low pressure in wide tubeless tires.

  • Bagage transportation between stops is foreseen but because of the remoteness you’ll have to carry it ones in a while for some miles.

You will also have to carry your food for during the day.

    You will need:

    Sleeping Bag  (able to rent)

    Sleeping pad (able to rent)

  • The surface can be very rough at some points and there will be some technical singletracks

You need a bit of experience to handle your bike on some difficult tracks

  • We recommend to do this trip in late Spring and early Autumn. To avoid the crowds and the midges.
